What we collect

You give us: name, email address, phone number, billing address, business name, and any information you submit in forms, examinations, or support requests.

Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, timestamps, and course and examination progress data.

We do not collect or store payment card numbers. Card payments are processed directly by Stripe.

Why we collect it

To deliver the products you purchase and provide access to materials
To process payments and prevent fraud
To issue, verify, and manage certificates
To provide customer support
To send transactional messages — receipts, access links, examination results, and scheduling
To send you marketing communications about our own products, which you may opt out of at any time
To comply with legal and tax obligations
To detect unauthorized distribution of licensed materials

Watermarking — disclosed

Digital products are watermarked with the purchaser's name, email address, and order number, and include an embedded license identifier. This is used solely to identify the licensed holder and to detect unauthorized distribution.

SMS and text messaging

If you provide your mobile number and give consent, we may send you text messages relating to your purchase, course access, appointments, scheduling, and — where you have separately opted in — offers and promotions.

How you opt in. You provide your mobile number and check a clearly labeled, unchecked consent box on our order form or contact form. There are two separate consent options: one for account and course messages, and one for marketing messages. Neither is pre-selected. You may consent to one, both, or neither.

Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchase. We collect it through a clearly labeled checkbox shown at the point where you give us your number, separate from the checkbox for account and course messages. Neither box is pre-selected. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP.

We do not add anyone to marketing text messages without that box being checked.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party except subprocessors acting on our behalf strictly to deliver the messages. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your phone number or your SMS consent to any third party for their own marketing purposes.

Third-party services we use

To run this business we use a small number of outside services. These companies are processors acting on our behalf, under contract. They may only use your information to perform the service we hired them for. They may not use it for their own purposes, and they may not sell it.

Stripe — processes payments and stores card data under its own security obligations. We never see or store your full card number.
HighLevel (GoHighLevel) — our customer relationship system. This is where your contact record, purchase history, course progress, and communication preferences are stored, and where our emails and text messages are sent from.
Email and web hosting providers — deliver our emails and serve this website.

Your information is stored in our systems and used to run our business. That is the whole of it.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or give it away. We do not share it with data brokers, advertising networks, affiliates, or any other company for that company's own marketing.

The only parties who ever receive your information are the processors listed above, who work for us and may only act on our instructions.

We may disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a business transfer — in which case you will be notified first.

How we use your information for marketing

When you purchase from us or submit a form, and agree to our Terms of Service, you agree that we may use the information you provide for our own internal marketing — including emails about new courses, training dates, offers, and updates to material you already own.

This is our marketing only. Your information stays in our systems and is never passed to anyone else to market to you.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing admin@hairplayspa.co. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages — receipts, access links, examination results, and scheduling — which are part of the product you purchased.

For text messages, we ask separately. When we collect your mobile number we show a clearly labeled checkbox for marketing texts, alongside a separate one for account and course messages. Neither is pre-selected, and neither is required in order to buy from us. We only send marketing texts to people who checked that box.

Certificate verification

If you earn a certification, your name, the credential, and the issue date may appear on a verification page accessible by unique URL. This page is not indexed by search engines. You may request removal by contacting us, though removal may invalidate third-party verification of your credential.

How long we keep it

Account and purchase records: 7 years (tax and legal requirements)
Certification records: indefinitely, to support verification
Marketing contact data: until you opt out
Access and download logs: 2 years

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; opt out of marketing at any time; and request a copy of your data. Email admin@hairplayspa.co. We respond within 30 days.

Residents of states with applicable comprehensive privacy laws — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Oklahoma — may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data (we do not sell), the right to opt out of targeted advertising and profiling, the right to data portability, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. Use the same contact address.

Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable subprocessors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our products are intended for professionals and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have, we delete it.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for site function, analytics, and — where enabled — advertising measurement. You can control cookies through your browser. Blocking them may break parts of the site.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
